COMPOSITE BODY SHIRRED TEE

Individually reconstructed by hand using original blank T-shirts from the 1990s.

Multiple T-shirt bodies are deconstructed and joined together before shirring is applied across the entire surface. The overlapping fabrics and seams form a landscape of gathers and irregular textures, transforming several existing garments into a single art piece.

While preserving the casual character of an everyday T-shirt and the distinct texture of vintage clothing, the delicate shirring introduces a feminine quality to the piece. The result is a sculptural silhouette in which the rawness of vintage garments coexists with a softer expression of femininity.

Offered in one size, the shirred construction provides stretch throughout the garment. The gathers and volume respond to the wearer’s body, creating a different silhouette and expression on each individual.

As each piece is reconstructed from vintage T-shirts, variations in fabric texture, tone, stitching, and shirring may occur. These differences are inherent to the process and make every piece unique.

 

COMPOSITE BODY SHIRRED TEE

1990年代のヴィンテージ無地Tシャツをボディとして使用し、一点ずつ手作業で再構築したトップス。

複数のTシャツを解体して一つのボディへとドッキングし、表面全体にシャーリング加工を施しています。異なる生地や縫い目が重なり合い、無数の皺と凹凸を形成することで、複数の衣服が一枚の新たなアートピースへと変換されています。

Tシャツが持つ日常的でラフな感覚や、ヴィンテージウェア特有の風合いを残しながら、繊細なシャーリングによってフェミニンな表情を加えています。古着の無骨さと柔らかな女性らしさが共存する、彫刻的なシルエットに仕上げました。

ワンサイズでの展開ですが、シャーリングによって全体に伸縮性があります。着用する人の身体に合わせて生地の皺やボリュームが変化し、それぞれに異なるシルエットと表情を生み出します。

ヴィンテージTシャツを使用し、一点ずつ再構築しているため、生地の風合いや色合い、縫製、シャーリングの表情には個体差があります。それぞれの違いを、作品固有の特徴としてお楽しみください。
